Castelo do Sulco Reserva Tinto is a selection crafted based on the expertise of the enologists who conceived it. After a brief stint in French oak barrels, it offers aromas of red fruit preserves and spices. On the palate it is supple yet full-bodied, with a lingering finish. Quinta do Gradil is mentioned in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. The most decisive moment came in the 19th century, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta from her father, transforming it into a leading agricultural enterprise focused on wine production. Decades later, Quinta do Gradil remains a Portuguese reference worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira.
