This Chaquedas Lote 5 Reserva is a wine with a real flair for the dramatic, having already earned 17.5 points in Revista de Vinhos. The toasted oak is certainly the star of the show here, almost overshadowing the fruit, but thankfully it’s balanced by a generous body and lively acidity. A hearty beef roast would be a fantastic match to tame its exuberance, wouldn’t you say?
