The Suduiraut estate covers 200 hectares, of which 92 hectares are planted with vines, on a soil primarily composed of sandy and clayey gravel. The vines are planted with 90 % Semillon and 10 % Sauvignon. The proximity to the Ciron and Garonne rivers creates a microclimate in autumn, characterized by sunny and hot afternoons followed by cloudy mornings. In 1958, the estate took the name Suduiraut, following the marriage of Nicole d'Allard with Léonard de Suduiraut. The château, which was looted and burned during the Fronde, was rebuilt in the 17th century and renamed Cru du Roy at the end of the 18th century, when it was taken over by a nephew of the Suduiraut family, Jean‑Joseph Duroy, Baron of Noaillan.
