Suduiraut Estate covers 200 hectares, of which 92 are planted with vines on a soil primarily composed of sandy and clayey gravel. The vines are planted with 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon. The proximity to the rivers Ciron and Garonne creates a micro‑climate in autumn, marked by hot, sun‑filled afternoons followed by cloudy mornings. In 1958 the property adopted the name Suduiraut after Nicole d’Allard married Léonard de Suduiraut. The château, which was looted and burned during the Fronde, was rebuilt in the 17th century and renamed Cru du Roy at the end of the 18th century, when it was taken over by a nephew of the Suduiraut family, Jean‑Joseph Duroy, Baron of Noaillan.
