This Touriga Nacional, hailing from the Douro, has clearly been made with a delightfully rough-and-ready approach – think granite mills, a smooth texture, and a subtle hint of mechanical charm. Twelve months in oak have added a touch of expressiveness, but thankfully haven't diminished the robust soul of the grape. It’s a wine built for hearty moments, ideally paired with a slow-cooked beef dish, perhaps with a comforting rice and chorizo bake – a perfect tribute to the Douro’s heritage and strength.
