Description

It is the result of a carefully selected batch of wines aged for 40 years in oak casks. With a pale, greenish hue, it offers notes of dried fruit, spices, and honey. On the palate it is velvety, enveloping, complex, and finishes with a powerful mouthfeel. It pairs wonderfully with convent sweets, cheeses, and fruit. For over two centuries the name Dow’s has been associated with one of the best Port wines. Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the Symington generations have worked at Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, creating from these vineyards wines that are supremely concentrated, intense, and tannic when young; with age, they develop elegance and perfume, with aromas of violet and mint. The drier finish is the distinctive trademark of this great Port wine company. The bottling year may not match the image presented (illustrative only).
