Esporão was born in the Alentejo from an unconditional desire to make the best wines. That motivation is the legacy of every wine produced and the main reason the company has expanded its range into other products and territories. The Esporão estate, located in the heart of the Alentejo in Reguengos de Monsaraz, offers unique agricultural conditions – wide temperature swings, poor and varied soils, and extraordinary biodiversity that help produce in harmony with the environment. With around 702 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and other crops nurtured by a Biological Production Method, the estate now hosts about 40 grape varieties, four olive varieties, orchards and vegetable gardens.
