This Fita Preta de Talha is a white wine that certainly demands your attention. Initially, it bursts with fresh fruit, driven by Trincadeira and Fernão Pires, but quickly reveals a wonderfully earthy and surprisingly ‘technical’ character, as Robert Parker himself noted, referencing the ‘talha’ – the traditional earthenware jars – that gave it its name. The finish is persistent and vibrant, with a texture that’s almost daring – perfect with grilled white fish or a seafood rice dish.
