Infantes Red is made from the grape varieties Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional, all harvested at night to preserve the freshness of the aromas. After partial ageing in used French oak barrels for nine months, it displays an intense, concentrated ruby colour, with dominant aromas of fresh wild fruit that are perfectly balanced by toasted and spice notes from the wood. Herdade da Lisboa was acquired by the Cardoso family in 2011 and is located in Vidigueira, bringing together three harmonious pillars: wine production, olive‑oil production and wine tourism. In the 1980s and 1990s the estate helped establish the reputation of Alentejo wines under the Paço dos Infantes brand, and today it covers 350 ha in total—100 ha devoted to vineyards, 200 ha to olive groves and an additional 10 ha to fruit orchards and horticultural crops—using good practices for sustainable production.
