This Rabigato from Geográfica Wines is clearly the product of a beautiful daydream by Daniela Matias and Nuno Morais Vaz. Born at 350 metres on clay and schist soils, with the subtle influence of the Bertrange forest and the Tufo River, it’s a remarkably intense white. The spontaneous fermentation, using indigenous yeasts and aging in new and old barrels, delivers a pronounced minerality – you can almost hear the Douro whispering its story. A respectable 92 points from *Revista de Vinhos* certainly validates their audacious approach, showcasing the Rabigato’s unique ability to express the terroir with a purity that’s simply unforgettable. Perfect with grilled fish or a hearty roast – a match made in wine heaven.
