The Marquês de Borba Reserva Red is a powerful and elegant Alentejo wine, produced by João Portugal Ramos from a blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês, Cabernet Sauvignon and Trincadeira grapes grown on chalky soils. With excellent aromatic concentration, it offers notes of red fruit, spices and compote. On the palate it is vigorous, with very firm tannins and a long, distinct finish. Making wine is an art that Portugal has refined for centuries, now reinforced by greater knowledge and better means. The experience acquired over time by João Portugal Ramos leads him to believe that a wine reflects the nature of the land that gave it birth and is the expression of its producer.
