“The Kelman Lagar Reserva is clearly a wine that’s had a spirited discussion with its Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Alfrocheiro grapes – harvested by hand from a quinta that’s been basking in the sun since 2000. The winemaking process was remarkably dry, with nature lending its own distinctive touch. The new French oak, particularly with the Touriga Nacional, has imparted some subtle, almost playful spice notes, yet the final result is remarkably balanced. Expect a lingering finish and a mouthfeel described as wonderfully reminiscent of a good cut of beef – a truly impressive combination.”
