This Lan D-12, a Rioja made from Aragoneses, clearly enjoyed a little pampering before hitting the glass. The meticulous fermentation, conducted at low temperatures with a touch of micro-oxygenation in tank number 12, ensures a beautiful colour and wonderfully complex aromas. The result is a remarkably smooth wine with softened tannins and a generous mouthfeel – utterly delightful with a hearty roast, perhaps alongside some roasted garlic potatoes.
