The Justino Henriques & Sons wine company was founded in 1870 and is one of the largest wine producers in Madeira. In 1981, Sigfredo da Costa Campos purchased the company from the Companhia Vinícola da Madeira, later acquiring its shares as well. Today, the company is owned by the French group La Martiniquaise, which has a strong influence on exporting to the French market.
