This Reserva from Quinta de Cabriz is a seriously impressive wine – a deep ruby colour hinting at the forest floor notes it’s brimming with. The Touriga Nacional provides the backbone, beautifully complemented by the Aragonez and Alfrocheiro which add a welcome fruity complexity and a touch of that Dão elegance. It snagged a fantastic 16.5 points from *Revista de Vinhos*, and would be absolutely brilliant with a hearty beef roast or a smoked duck – a truly satisfying pairing.
