“This Trinca Bolotas Magnum is one of those wines that immediately wraps you up with a frankly overwhelming rush of blackcurrant, raspberry, and dark plum – it’s as if it’s trying to prove it’s from the Alentejo. It’s certainly a full-bodied wine, but thankfully balanced by a good dose of acidity, and the tannins provide the structure needed for a lingering finish – as noted by *Revista de Vinhos*. Seriously, it’s fantastic with a hearty roast, or even a good pork loin.”
