Mesa do Presidente Reserva tinto is made from the traditional Dão grapes, displaying a clean garnet colour with brick‑red reflections from bottle ageing. Floral aromas, forest fruits and toasted nuances give the wine a complex nose. After four days of pre‑fermentative maceration and fermentation with Delastage, the wine ages for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. In the mouth it is elegant, balanced and persistent. The wine estate Caves Campelo is based between Barcelos and Famalicão in the Demarcated Region of Verde Wines. In its progressive growth, Caves Campelo has invested in new facilities and expanded production to the Douro and Dão regions. The year 2007 marked the turning point, and today, under the leadership of Rui Miranda, exports manager, Reinaldo Pinho, the responsible oenologist, and Óscar Lima, one of the owners and logistics manager, the company is moving toward success and innovation.
