The Monte da Penha Terroir Reserva red is born from old vines planted in 1987 on the Serra de São Mamede, reflecting the essence of Portalegre’s terroir. Made from Trincadeira, Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet and a small percentage of Moreto, it blends family tradition with a contemporary reading of the region. The grapes come from vineyards between 400 and 600 metres above sea level, on granite, clay‑calcite and schist soils, delivering freshness, complexity and balance. Stainless‑steel vinification and partial ageing in French oak barrels give it structure and depth. The result is an elegant wine with great potential for evolution. Monte da Penha is a high‑altitude wine producer on the Serra de Portalegre, where century‑old vines and family heritage produce authentic, identity‑rich wines.
