Monte dos Perdigões Vinhas Velhas red wine is made from Aragonês, Touriga Nacional, and Alicante Bouschet, sourced from the oldest vines on the estate. It is fermented in Alentejo marble vats and French oak barrels, with a medium maceration and sur lie ageing, resulting in a very concentrated colour, a rich aroma of ripe fruit and compote. On the palate it is round and enveloping, with soft tannins, good body and excellent balance. Monte dos Perdigões is an Alentejo producer with deep historical and cultural roots, located near Reguengos de Monsaraz. In a unique terroir where figures such as Damião de Góis and Luís de Freitas Branco once lived, a range of excellent wines is born. The grapes are hand‑picked and vinified with rigor in a cellar that blends tradition and innovation, using high‑quality materials such as Alentejo marble and French oak. With respect for nature and passion for the art of winemaking, Monte dos Perdigões is synonymous with authenticity, culture, and quality.
