Monte dos Perdigões Vinhas Velhas red wine is crafted from Aragonês, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet grapes sourced from the estate’s oldest vines. It is fermented in Alentejo marble vats and French oak barrels, with a medium maceration and sur‑lie aging. The wine displays a very concentrated hue, a rich aroma of ripe fruit and compote, and in the palate it is round and enveloping, featuring soft tannins, solid body, and excellent balance. Monte dos Perdigões is an Alentejo producer steeped in deep historical and cultural roots, located near Reguengos de Monsaraz. In this unique terroir—once home to figures such as Damião de Góis and Luís de Freitas Branco—a range of outstanding wines is born.
