This Monte Velho from Esporão is a rosé that immediately catches the eye with its salmon-pink hue. The palate is driven by red fruit – think pomegranate and raspberry – with a subtle hint of green tea. Remarkably fresh and elegant, as confirmed by those impressive 16 points awarded in the Grandes Escolhas. It’s a wine with a persistent finish, beautifully balanced, thanks to the influence of Trincadeira and Aragonez. Perfect with grilled fish or a summer salad, really.
