This Mouchão, hailing from the heart of the Alentejo, is a surprisingly robust delight. The blend of Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet delivers a wonderfully smooth texture, with ripe black fruit notes reminiscent of raisins and figs. It’s a classic Alentejo style – medium-bodied and with plenty of tannin – absolutely perfect alongside a generous slab of pork belly or, dare we suggest, a comforting duck rice.
