This Mouchão, aged in a used tonel, seems to have taken a little trip back in time. It’s brimming with ripe plum, with a subtle hint of spice – as if someone had tucked away a generous pinch of black pepper decades ago. The lingering smoky finish speaks of a long, meditative maturation in oak, beautifully underpinned by the Alicante Bouschet’s signature character. Seriously delicious with slow-cooked pork and fruit compote.
