Niepoort Redoma Rosé

Description

The colour is a bright onion tone reminiscent of a classic Provence rosé. The delicate nose reveals violet, red fruit and rhubarb notes, along with nutty aromas from fermentation in new French oak barrels. This is a serious rosé, full of complexity and character. In the mouth it offers good acidity and a light structure, ending with a dry, slightly spicy finish. In the national wine panorama there is no producer more widely respected than Niepoort, whose long history began in 1842 with the first Van Der Niepoort arriving in Portugal. Starting out in the port wine market as a merchant, he quickly established a business that proved both prosperous and promising. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort emerged as an undeniable force in the wine world, recognised as one of the most important figures devoted to Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while building his own legacy alongside those who always create irreverent wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort works on many other projects across almost all Portuguese wine regions and several abroad.
