Paulo Laureano is one of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers and a benchmark for Alentejo wines. Trained in agronomy and oenology across Portugal, Australia and Spain, he taught at the University of Évora for ten years before dedicating himself exclusively to wine design, a passion that has driven him since 2003. This focus is centred on the family‑established company he founded in 1999, which has grown increasingly important in his life. Laureano calls himself a minimalist winemaker; for him, crafting wine is a passion—uncovering its aromas and flavours, evaluating and refining the elements that define its identity and personality, and presenting it as a true source of pleasure.
