The story of this wine, with a production of only 1,000 bottles, is one of passion for a vineyard. David Sampedro convinced Melanie to acquire it before it was too late, as it was a fairy‑tale estate located between a sheer cliff, impossible to mechanise and with very low yield. The nearly century‑old vines, planted on limestone soil, produce grapes of the highest quality, and San Julián delivers a fascinating red with fruity, herbaceous and spicy aromas. Very expressive and promising excellent bottle ageing.
