This Alentejo Reserva is a delightfully uncompromising wine, crafted from Touriga Nacional, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet. The weighty texture and firm tannins hint at the granite terroir – perhaps with a touch of schist – that undoubtedly played a part. Expect rich notes of black forest fruits and blackberry compote, alongside a long, lingering finish. It’s a fantastic match for a hearty beef roast, or even a perfectly slow-roasted suckling pig. A true tribute to Castelo de Redondo and the Cooperativa de Redondo’s tradition since 1956.
