This Pousio Reserva clearly spent some time contemplating before it graced our glass. Grown in the soulful Alentejo with a touch of Alicante Bouschet and Syrah, it promises an equilibrium that feels almost… meditative. Born from a vineyard with a history dating back to 1958 and a 1992 harvest, it suggests a patience – and perhaps a little secret. The deep ruby colour practically demands a quiet appreciation, as if you’re lost in a dimly lit book. Absolutely brilliant with a good, roasted meat dish, or even a capaloo creation.
