Born from a harvest boasting excellent alcohol levels (13-14º), this Qta. Santa Eufêmia white wine underwent maturation with a patience worthy of a king. Traditional foot treading and fermentation in granite lagares lend it a robust soul, balanced by a period in stainless steel for freshness. After three to four years in oak barrels, the aromas were expertly ‘awakened’ – a true alchemy! A complex, bronze-hued wine, commended by Decanter England in 2011, it pairs beautifully with seafood and sheep’s cheese.
