Quanta Terra Non Vintage red is a Douro wine made from Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Roriz, blending harvests from 2016, 2019, and 2021. Combining different vintages allows the creation of a lot of greater complexity and consistency, blending various expressions of the grapes and the Douro terroir. The aroma offers an elegant and expressive profile, dominated by ripe red and black fruit, with nuances that add depth to the overall bouquet. On the palate it shows good structure and balance, with well-integrated tannins and an acidity that gives it freshness and persistence. The finish is long and harmonious, reflecting the identity of the traditional Douro varieties and the complexity derived from blending multiple harvests. Celso Pereira and Jorge Alves could have both been nicknamed “Quanta Terra,” but they themselves are the embodiment of the wine brand. More than just a passion shared by the wine world’s key figures, Quanta Terra began taking its first steps in the 1990s, when the two met while working in the Enology Department at Transmontanas Cellars. They quickly developed a professional camaraderie that would lay the solid foundation for Quanta Terra, which at the time was only an idea. (Illustrative image)
