This Alvarinho from Quinta da Aveleda is a wonderfully devoted expression of the grape, really leaning into its vibrant freshness with a maceration that feels almost like a heartfelt declaration of love for the grapes. The careful, low-pressure winemaking technique suggests a certain restraint, while still delivering a concentrated burst of fruit. The ageing on the skins adds an intriguing layer – as if the wine were contemplating its aromatic destiny. Wonderful with grilled white fish or a cucumber and yogurt salad.
