This Douro Tawny has clearly spent a good deal of time contemplating its flavours – those rich caramel notes are a testament to countless hours in the cellar. While chocolate certainly plays its part in the ageing process, the Tinta Barroca and Touriga Nacional contribute a complexity that deserves attention. Perfect enjoyed with aged cheeses and a nice white fish, perhaps sea bass.
