This Douro Arinto is a delightfully mischievous wine – and I must admit, it certainly keeps you on your toes. The pale yellow hue with greenish flashes immediately announces the character of the grape, which quickly unfolds with a vibrant citrus burst, almost bracingly acidic, underpinned by that signature Douro minerality. It’s a wine with a strong, assertive acidity that beautifully balances the tropical nuances, and the finish is remarkably long and lively, as if the wine is perpetually trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Wonderful with grilled fish or seafood dishes.
