This Guarita, born from the soul of Quinta de Chocapalha, seems to hold the wisdom of vineyards stretching back centuries – primarily Alicante Bouschet and the famed “Vinhas Velhas”. The grapes underwent a careful maceration before a meticulously controlled fermentation, kept at a precise 25°C in the lagares. A remarkable 20 months aging in French oak barrels then imparted a complexity that only time and the generous touch of the oak can deliver. It’s a wine best enjoyed alongside a hearty black pork roast, allowing its fruity nuances and velvety texture to truly shine.
