This "Vinhas Velhas" Crasto Reserva is a genuine journey through time – quite literally! Crafted from a delightful blend of 25 to 30 diverse grape varieties, sourced from vines older than 70 years, it’s clear they went to great lengths, even utilizing 22kg boxes for picking. Following careful destemming, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, ensuring precise control. The result is a remarkably complex and elegant wine, matured for 18 months in 85% French and 15% American oak barrels. Robert Parker awarded it 91/100 – a score well worth raising a glass to, especially when paired with a perfectly grilled beef dish, celebrating the very soul of the Douro Valley.
