Description

The Quinta do Gradil Cabernet Sauvignon and Tinta Roriz blend shows an intense ruby hue, with aromas of forest berries, a balsamic nuance, and tobacco leaf. On the palate it is structured by vigorous, well‑integrated tannins, finishing long and persistent. The Quinta do Gradil has been part of Portuguese wine history since 1492. It was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. The decisive turning point came in the 19th century when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a benchmark agricultural business focused on wine production. Years later, the Quinta do Gradil remains a Portuguese benchmark worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira. (illustrative image only)
