This wine from Quinta do Monte Alegre clearly aimed to impress – and perhaps make us feel just a little bit guilty. The winemaking, with its extended maceration, speaks of a desire for intensity, largely driven by the use of new French and American oak barrels. Featuring the regional staples of Arinto and Viosinho, it delivers a vibrant acidity, beautifully balanced with fresh fruit and subtle spice nuances imparted by the oak.
