Located within the city of Estremoz, the estate stands out for its beauty and its history, featuring a stuccoed 18th‑century building, beautiful gardens, groves, caramanchões, cisterns, and other works of 18th‑century art—today also renowned for its excellent wines. The property was owned for many years by the Zagalo family, who used it as a holiday home. Unfortunately, in 1974, during the 25th April Revolution, the house and estate were seized and fell into disuse. In 1979 the estate was purchased by Miguel Louro, who remains the owner to this day and began wine production in the 1980s. (illustrative image only)
