Located in the heart of Estremoz, the estate is noted for its beauty and its rich history, boasting a stuccoed 18th‑century building, meticulously tended gardens, orchards, caramanchões, ponds, and other 18th‑century artistic features—today also celebrated for its excellent wines. For many years the Zagalo family owned the estate, using it as a holiday home, but in 1974, during the April 25 Revolution, the house and property were seized and fell into abandonment. In 1979 the property was purchased by Miguel Louro, who remains its owner to this day, and began wine production in the 1980s. (illustrative image only)
