This “Cão” from Quinta do Pessegueiro clearly enjoyed a prolonged adolescence – a full 20 months in oak – before finding its way to the bottle. This slow maturation has undoubtedly gifted it with a remarkable complexity, setting it apart. The result is a full-bodied red, evoking the scent of grazing in the Douro Valley, and with careful aging, it offers a wonderfully persistent, tannin-rich finish, perfect alongside a nice roasted sea bass or lamb stew.
