This Touriga Nacional from Quinta do Vallado clearly benefited from meticulous, hand-harvested batches. The fermentation in stainless steel, closely monitored and featuring those lovely “remontages,” really elevates the experience. The aging in 50% new French oak has resulted in a remarkably silky texture and a long, refreshing finish – a persistence that’s quite captivating. It’s a refined wine, and would pair wonderfully with aged cheeses or, perhaps, a perfectly grilled trout.
