Born amidst the steep slopes bordering the famed “Assobio” in the Douro Valley, this wine is a true reflection of its challenging terroir – a distinctive granite and schistous soil nurtured by the indigenous Viosinho, Gouveio, Códega and Rabigato grapes, with a touch of Verdelho adding complexity. Lourenço Charters’ meticulous approach, utilising stainless steel tanks and carefully controlled temperatures, has resulted in a remarkably fresh white, perfectly suited to showcasing the delicate nuances of the region and ideally paired with fresh fish or shellfish.
