The Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of extraordinary beauty, located in the heart of the Douro, and has been owned by the Amorim family since 1999. The family’s connection to wine stretches back far, through their ties to the export houses of Vila Nova de Gaia via the cork trade, but in this instance that relationship fulfilled a dream, and the project is now in the hands of the fourth generation. With a history of over 250 years, the estate showcases a well-preserved trail and the original 1764 wine cellar building, after renovations carried out by architect Arnaldo Barbosa.
