Spioenkop Johanna Brandt Chenin Blanc Elgin Valley white is a wine made under a minimal intervention philosophy, reflecting the purity of the Chenin Blanc grape grown on steep slate terraces at 200 to 270 metres above sea level in the Elgin region. After a short pellicular maceration, fermentation takes place in temperature‑controlled stainless steel, followed by 11 months of aging on fine lees in used French oak barrels.
