This Tapada de Coelheiros Magnum clearly has a deep obsession with time and texture. The hand-picked grapes and five-day post-fermentation maceration suggest a truly reverent approach to the dark fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon delivers its usual freshness, constantly engaging with the velvety texture of the Alicante Bouschet – a wonderfully deceptive combination. Following eighteen months in French oak barrels, a further thirty-six months in bottle have undoubtedly ensured a fully realised and remarkably complex wine, ideally paired with a hearty beef roast to fully appreciate its nuances.
