It is in the outskirts of Portalegre, on the lands of Alto Alentejo, that the Tapada do Chaves wines are produced. For almost a century this estate has been crafting wines of recognised quality, among the best in Portugal. Tapada do Chaves wines capture the warmth and smoothness of the Alentejo region and reflect a strong family tradition, a history of passion and dedication to the land. Grown from the estate’s vineyards that give the name to the wines, with vines aged between 15 and 85 years, they are wines meant to cellar and later savour at full maturity.
