This Taylors Vintage is a seriously dark declaration – it looks like it’s swallowed up the whole Douro night! Expect intense aromas of blackcurrant and ripe cherries, with a wild, resinous note of mint. The powerful tannins, undoubtedly inherited from the Old Vineyards, are beautifully balanced by a richness of honey and dark chocolate. It culminates in a burst of wild berries, and frankly, needs a good quality grilled beef to truly shine. A well-deserved 93 points from Neal Martin – don't even *think* of sipping this lightly.
