This wine, which earned a respectable 84 points in Revista de Vinhos, delivers a deeply ruby hue and a nose brimming with ripe wild berries – think blackberry and raspberry – alongside the comforting sweetness of a good compote. The incredibly smooth texture is utterly indulgent, beautifully balanced by the elegance of the Trincadeira grape and the assertive punch of the Alicante Bouschet. Seriously, it’s fantastic with grilled beef or a hearty osso buco.
