Titan of Douro Set within a stunning mosaic of natural beauty on the slopes of the Távora River, the centuries-old vineyards of Titan of Douro are planted with more than a century ago, with a blend of red and white grape varieties grown on their own roots (franco-pé) at altitudes of 750 to 850 metres. They face southeast and grow in soils of granite, quartz and river-rolled stones. This exceptional terroir produces iconic and unique wines within the Douro Demarcated Region. Vineyard management focuses on ecological balance, avoiding chemical products and any form of mechanization to safeguard the sustainability of the terroir and the surrounding biodiversity. Fresh grapes, harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and packed in 20 kg crates, are transported to the winery, where they undergo a careful manual sorting, destemming and foot-treading in a granite lagar. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. At the end of fermentation, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels, where it ages for 16 months.
