This Vidigal Porta 6 Reserva is one of those wines that simply stops you in your tracks. The deep ruby hue hints at the intense aromas – wild berries reminiscent of the Buçaco forest, with a touch of spice echoing the region’s gentle climate, and a surprisingly decadent hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it’s remarkably well-structured, yet the fruit is incredibly fresh and yielding, finishing with a persistence that lingers delightfully on the tongue, practically begging for another glass. Wonderful with a hearty beef roast, to really cut through the richness.
