Villa Seara Branco

Description

This Villa Seara is a Basto white that’s clearly had quite the adventure – both in the cellar and, one suspects, in the minds of winemakers Martin Basso and Sofia Cambey. Hand-harvested Arinto, Avesso and Alvarinho in September 2022 yields a wine demanding a little focus. It presents a vibrant, saline profile with notes of sea fennel and ripe pear, matured in French oak. Seriously delicious with fresh fish or seafood, it’s aiming for a memorable dining experience – and let’s be honest, with a touch of sulphur, it delivers.
